| First and foremost, my qualifications are that I am not part of a political formula that has run Brockton for the past decade under an ideology that has driven Brockton to a state of mediocrity, such as the median strip on Oak Street between upper and lower Porter Pond. As an information hound it is the quest for knowledge that drives me to acquire excellence in all that I do.
I do not nor do I want the experience of those already elected. It is that experience that has lead us down the path to where we are today, a community which collects poverty without the planning and policies intact to help those gain the mobility to reach the middle class and the opportunities for all Brocktonians to move upward socially and economically. My experiences as a youth growing up with Brockton values has lead me to excellence in my professional life in the 10 years I lived in NYC. It is the values that I have learned here in the Public Schools that the quality of our expectations determines the quality of our actions, and my actions have been nothing less than a quest for excellence.
People never improve unless they look to some standard or example higher and better than themselves. It is my experiences traveling throughout the country working on films that I have had the opportunity to see first hand how other communities just like Brockton have progressively stayed above the curve of excellence and have lead by example. It is these relationships that I have fostered throughout my life that add to my qualifications to solve Brockton’s problems.
In my professional career as a filmmaker we strive for excellence at every corner. Working on $100 million plus films I am at times required to over see funds allocated to the camera department, which can top $10 million dollars on certain projects. From my professional life to my private life as a homeowner I am well aware of fiscal responsibilities.
As a union member and an elected delegate to my Executive Board I have had 10 years experience dealing with "Politics" with in my industry and have had the opportunity to partake in union collective bargaining agreements.
